Hello,
Using the histogram function in data analysis allows me to categorize data into specific bins by counting the number of instances the set criteria occurs. Is there any way I can sum the results instead of counting them? Thanks, April |

Use separate formulas that refer to your bins.
The first frequency is the count of numbers that are <=bin1. The 2nd frequency is the count of numbers that are bin1 and <=bin2 So, assuming your bins are something like this: E3 = 10 E4 = 20 E5 = 30 The first sum would be something like: =SUMIF(A1:A20,"<="&E3) The 2nd sum would be something like: =SUMIF(A1:A20,""&E3)-SUMIF(A1:A20,""&E4) That 2nd pattern is followed until the last bin then you need one last sum formula: =SUMIF(A1:A20,""&last_bin) -- Biff Microsoft Excel MVP "April" wrote in message ...
