ERROR
I'm trying to copy a tab in a workbook but keep getting error messages, it's
the same error messages just with a different name in them. If I keep clicking yes then it will copy the sheet, but I have to click yes many times because it continues to pop up with different names. I don't know what's going on or why it's saying this but I'd like to fix it so that it doesn't happen anymore. Here's 2 examples of error messages that pop up... "A formula or sheet you want to move or copy contains the name 'Last_Row', which already exists on the destination worksheet. Do you want to use this version of the name? To use teh name as defined in teh destination sheet, click Yes. To rename the range referred to in the formula or worksheet, click No, and enter a new name in the Name Conflict dialog box." "A formula or sheet you want to move or copy contains the name 'LN', which already exists on the destination worksheet. Do you want to use this version of the name? To use teh name as defined in teh destination sheet, click Yes. To rename the range referred to in the formula or worksheet, click No, and enter a new name in the Name Conflict dialog box." The other names that it shows are 'Number_of_Payments', 'Payment_Date', 'Print_Area_Reset', 'Spec9.10', 'Total_Payment', 'Values_Entered', I'm trying to copy all within one workbook...the sheet I'm trying to copy I want placed in the same workbook. Any ideas? |

Sounds like you have a bunch of formulas and named ranges on your sheets.
May be easier to Insert a tab in your destination workbook, then do a copy from the old to the new. I didn't create the file, but I've gone through every cell and done an
advanced search for "(" because all formulas have a parenthesis but I still can't find any formulas on those sheets. What you suggested did work so thank you, I just wish I knew where these things are that it's talking about to fix it quicker because there are at least 8 files that with 4 tabs each that have this problem. Thanks! "Sean Timmons" wrote: Sounds like you have a bunch of formulas and named ranges on your sheets.
