Default macro enabled excel worksheet running very slow.

The program is slow to open and keeps pausing while I am trying to enter
info. The macros run fine. I have Norton anti virus; Do I need to change a
security setting in Norton? I have already tried using my disk to fix
problems. Thanks.

How big is the file and how much RAM do you have? I am assuming from the
subject that you running 2007?

As this slow down is happening, look at your CPU usage and see if it is
maxed. I had a similar problem trying to run 2007 with 512k of RAM. I upped
the memory two 2 gigs and it solved the problem.
