Default Text Box in Excel for noddy users!

I've created a 'form' in Excel (not using the form controls though) - and
protected the sheet so that only certain cells can be edited. However, I
have to create some areas for comments which need to behave like text boxes -
I tried merging cells but users seemed to mess up when completing the forms
so I thought I'd use a text box instead. I know how to protect the sheet and
leave the text box unprotected but the problem is that I don't want users to
be able to move or resize the text box. Any ideas gratefully received.
Thanks
Anita

Thats odd, once you place a textbox from the controls toolbox on a
worksheet it cannot be moved or resized unless you have left it in
design mode, if this is the case, go back to VIEWTOOLBARSCONTROLS
TOOLBOX and click the icon in the top left hand corner of the toolbox,
this toggles design mode.

With the same toolbox you have just used, do the opposite of my previous
mail, then click the textbox once, then on the toolbox xlixk the
poperties icon next to the design mode icon you will then see a whole
host of things that you can do with the textbox including borders and
styles!

Default Text Box in Excel for noddy users!

thanks that worked too! only thing is I've tested the text boxes and when I
press Enter it doesn't return down to the next line - nor does it wrap text -
I've set the enter key behaviour to true and wrap text - what am I doing
wrong? I've also exited design mode. Thanks for your help
