Default Formatting - Opening a spreadsheet

I have a problem in Excel 2003, when I open an already saved spreadsheet, the
row height is doubled from when I saved it and I have to go back in and reset
it. Why?

Chances are there is some data in one of the cells in that row that requires
word wrapping and the word wrap option is enabled. It could be invisible by
a hidden column or the text is white on a white background. Look for it.
