Default Filter question

I have a spreadsheet with ~20,000 lines (using Excel 2003). I use a filter
on the data to quickly access what I need. I added ~30 lines of data to the
bottom of the spreadsheet. I took the filter off and then re-added it but
the new lines do not show in the drop down on the filter. I also tried
selecting all the lines before putting filter on but the new lines still
didn't show....any suggestions?

Hi Julie

Filter has a limit of 1000 UNIQUE items for its display.
Do the extra 30 lines take you beyond 1000 of the same value in your filter
column?
There are some suggestions here on how to overcome the limit

Thank you ... that must be the problem as there are over 1000 unique lines of
data. I will try the website you list.
