Default auto recovery

HI All!
Does anyone know how to find an older saved version of a file that was
recently replaced? (I cannot use a backed-up copy). Situation-I created a
file with valuable info and then saved a new file, with the same name, over
the older version (ACK!). How might I find that older saved file? Is it
possible?
I have looked into my auto recovery, it is checked, but there are no
files/spreadsheets at C:\Users\myra\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\ where
it says they should be.
Dell, Excel 2007
Thanks! Myra
