Default Spreadsheet will not allow me to freeze row & column

I put the curser in Cell B2 and select Window/Freeze. Nothing happens.

How do I find that out? Also, I now notice when I have the Freeze on and
move the bar at the bottom, the screen will not move at all. But it does
move when I up & down with the side bar.

Have you tried to move your cursor more than a screenful down or right? Try
to scroll, or just GoTo Z55 or somewhere. Then what columns are visible at
the left of your window, and what rows at the top?

No matter where I put the curser the same thing happens. When I apply the
Freeze, the column and rows to the left and above the curser do not freeze,
but the bottom scroll bar does not move anything. I use the Freeze option
a lot and this is the only spreadsheet I have had problems with. I
imported it from another sight and it may have to do with how it was set up
during the transition. I will be inporting data from this sight a lot so
would like to figure out how to correct ir. Thanks for trying to help. --
