I have a pivot table that contains three columns of data: FY 2008, FY 2009
and Grand Total. I would like to display the difference between FY 2008 and FY 2009 in the Grand Total column rather than the default sum of FY 2008 and FY 2009. Can someone help? Thanks! |

Hi Dave
Drag the field containing the data to the data area a second Time in the layout section. Double click the fieldshow data asDifference fromYearFY2008OKFinish Drag the Data button on the PT and drop on Total so you get the values side by side instead of under each other. Right click on PTTable Optionsuncheck Grand Total by Row You will still have a blank column for the FY2008 difference (as there is no difference). You can choose to hide this column on the sheet if you wish. Title your fields to headings that are appropriate. -- Regards Roger Govier "DaveB" wrote in message ... Here are the steps to display the difference between FY 2008 and FY 2009 in the Grand Total column of your pivot table:
Your pivot table should now display the difference between FY 2008 and FY 2009 in the Grand Total column. If you want to change the format of the values, you can right-click on the Grand Total cell, select "Number Format", and choose the desired format.
