Default Sorting in Excel

I need to sort rows of data so the blank rows come at the top then all other
items alphabetically.
How do I do this?
They come at the bottom in the default sort order whether Ascending or
Descending is selected and I can't see a way of overriding this or changing
the default sort order.

sorting descending order should bring blankcells to the top of the worksheet.
If you want the rest of the data in ascending order your have to sort again
selecting the rows after the blnak rows of data.

Make sure when you are sorting the blank cells to the top that you select
the rows with the blank data in the sort selection.

Joel

My Excel 2003 and 2007 sort the blanks to the bottom.

To my recollection Excel has always sorted blanks to the bottom.
