Default Pivot Table - Currency Format

Hello

I am summarising data in a pivot table.

I found that some fields that come through onto the pivot do not retain the
currency format from the data.

E.g. 40000 shown instead of 40,000.00

I would like it to retain the format so that I do not have to change the
format each time the pivot table is refreshed

Thank you

Hi Beth,
Two ways:-
1) you have to give format when you are in wizard mode of pivot table or you
are in design mode of pivot table, because the data can be of any format in
data source of pivot table.
2) check the option "Preserve Formatting" in Pivot Table Options.
