Does normal color formatting (not conditional formatting) show up?

See if this is the culprit:

Well, this generally happens if the cell value does not match the
condition you specified in the formula of conditional formatting.
for eg. if you have formatted a cell (say A1) to show red background if
a value of 1 is entered,. but you have not supplied the value 1, then
there will be no color shown on that formatted cell…..(I think this
should be the case because you have stated that All this worked
properly some months ago)

Thanks for trying, but still not working out.
On FORMAT Dropdown List, Select CELLS, Select PATTERNS, Select COLOUR
Sample colour VISIBLE in FORMAT CELLS WINDOW, But CELL does not change.
Selecting Font Size O.K.
Selecting Font Colour, Visable in Sample Box, But no colour change in
Selected cell.
Has a certain File in Excel been Corrupted in one way or another? If so how
do I find it.? Quandary 13 - 3 - 09
