Default Exel 2003 - Intermittent calculation!

Guys

This is a strange one. In cell M30 there is a simple formula which is =C5*50.
When I enter a number in cell C5 and hit the enter key Excel occasionally
will not re-calculate the result in M30!!.

Auto calc is on and the application does not appear to be stuck calculating
anything .

It's driving me nuts. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Kevin

I would select all the cells on the worksheet (just in case M30 isn't the only
problem) and...

Edit|replace
what: =
with: =
replace all

Maybe it'll wake up excel's calculation engine for good???
