Do you have a BOOK.xlt in your XLSTART folder left over from an earlier version? I found when I installed 2007 along with my 2003, the Book.xlt was also used by 2007 as a New workbook. It opened in compatibility mode. Removed that file from XLSTART and now no problems. And how can I convert an .xlsx file in compatibility modus into a a true .xlsx file. Probably trivial, but the help function offers no help (that can be accessed anyway). Thanks! Thomas |
