Default Workbook protection

I see that after protection, the option "Allow users to edit ranges" is
greyed out and it does not let me select that. I am using Excel 2007. Any
other suggestions?

I want to restrict editing a couple of columns in my worksheet.

Default Workbook protection

Hi,
Once you protected the sheet that option is not longer available, what you
have to do is to unprotect the cell where you want the users to have access
then when protecting the sheet they will be only able to edit the unprotectec
cells

Was this helpful please press yes at the bottom of the screen. Thank you
