I recently upgraded from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007.
I can not get the regular Excel (X Type) icon to appear fro any of my Excel files or for the Excel 2007 program. Instead, I get the generic icons. What do I have to do to get the Excel Icon back for my Excel files and the Excel Program? |

I did the procedure to re-register Excel.
I did both the /UnRegServer and the /RegServer steps in both cases Excel opened but I never got the "Success Message" After I did the process, nothing has changed. I still do not get the Excel files X icon and opening Excel with a double click on the file in Wundows explorer is very slow "Stown" wrote: I recently upgraded from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007. Did you make sure you had a space before the /regserver?
Excel should not open when you re-register. Gord On Wed, 18 Mar 2009 05:48:09 -0700, Stown wrote: I did the procedure to re-register Excel.
