Looks like the detination is in XLS format (Excel 2003) and the source is in
XLSX (Excel 2007). Either save the source in Excel 97-2003 format or the detination in Excel 2007 before performing the move. Or, as suggested by Excel, select the used range in the source sheet, copy and then paste in the detination. Of course then you should have less than 256 cols and 65K rows in the source. "Wizard475" wrote: typical select the sheet and move (or copy) to another workbook open in the same session does not work in Excel 2007. I get the following error message: "Excel cannot insert the sheets into the destination workbook, because it contains fewer rows and columns than the source workbook..." it goes on to recommend a 'copy and paste' approach to get the data in the new book, which is not efficient. any thoughts? |
