Default Linking TO a protected workbook

I have a master spreasheed that is password protected. It is all my sales
reps' comp plans and is sensitive information if it weren't protected. I
have an individual file for each sales person to track their sales, and I
would like to have their individual workbook update afeter the master is
updated.

How do i maintain security on the Master spreadsheet and still have the
individual's spreadsheet update, without letting them know the password to
the master?

Any work around advice is also helpful.
Thanks
