Default Grand totals Pivot table

Hi may i know why my grand totals dont show on my rows, i turned it on from
the design tap byt i only seen that of the columns but no that of the rows.
any help

Hi,

1. Grand Totals are controlled by choose PivotTable, Table Options in 2003
and by choosing PivotTable Tools tab, Options tab, Options, Options, Totals &
Filters in 2007.

However, it sound like you may be looking for Subtotals. Suppose you have
the first (outer) row field called Dept and the second (inner) row field
called Category
2003: Double-click the Dept field button on the pivot table and choose
Automatic under Subtotals
2007: Select any dept item and choose PivotTable Tools tab, Options tab,
Field Settings, and choose Automatic under Subtotals

Default Grand totals Pivot table

You'll only see Row totals if you have one or more fields in the Column
area. The Row totals will show the Grand Totals for the items in the
column fields.

Maybe your source data as a few columns with numbers (e.g. Jan, Feb,
Mar), and you put those in the Values area. The Grand Total for Rows
won't add those up.

If that's the problem, you could add a Total column in the source data,
and include it in the Values area of the pivot table.
Or, create a calculated field in the pivot table, to add up the
different fields.
