Default How do I set a cell as empty unless zero is entered?

I'm trying to use formulas to keep cells empty unless a zero is actually
entered. I don't want Excel to automaticall assume empty cells are zeros. Is
there a way to do this? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in
advance.
