Default Problem w/word wrap opening up cell

someone sent one of my managers a huge document (page setup as portrait and
letter) to print it page setup had to be changed to landscape and legal, but
it still wouldn't print everything across the rows on one page (49 pages long)

they had put the peoples names across the column with no word wrap. I
changed that column to word wrap, but the row doesn't open to show the whole
name... the row has to be manually moved down on each one to show the whole
name!
How can I make it open without doing each one separately??
I have excel 2003

After setting to wrap text, set the rows to Autofit.

FormatRowAutofit.

Maybe just resizing the cells (columns and rows) would help.

Change the column widths to what you want
Select all the cells (Ctrl-a a few times)
Format|Row|autofit

You could also double click on the row separator (that line between the row
numbers) to autofit the rows.

This kind of thing may not work if you're using merged cells--or if the cells
contain lots and lots of text.
