Default Word Art in Excel

I am using Microsoft Office 2007 Student Home. When I create a Word Art
object in Word (because the Word Art is not really available in Excel), copy
and try to paste it in Excel, all I get is an empty box.
Help, please!

But Excel 2007 DOES have Word Art
On Ribbon open Insert tab; look for Text group at far right; there is the
Word Art tool: a slanted A (mine is blue) with the caption "Word Art" and a
launch button
The default background is transparent so you can make 'watermarks'
best wishes

But the Word Art available in Excel is not the same as in Word. I prefer the
Word version. So I created the graphic in Word and tried to copy it to Excel
and can't.
My question is Why?
Thanks,
Kelly

I have just made a WordArt object in Word 2007 and pasted it to Excel 2007
with no problem. ON the Excel worksheet I can edit the text but not the text
shape.
Try it with another font typeface and another font colour
best wishes

That did it ... thank you very much! I never would have thought to just
change the font to make the copy and paste work.
Muchos Gracias!
