Default Conditional formatting - skipping empty/zero cells

I have a conditional formatting rule set so that a range of cells is colored
according to their value: red for lowest, green for highest. But there may
also be blank or zero cells in that range. Is it possible to somehow adjust
the rule to skip such cells?
