Default I click on a single cell, and multiple cells select. Why?

I have somehow set Excel to select vertically multiple cells when I intend to
select only one. How can I turn this off?

Hi,

Not clear on this question, but probably you have turned on F8 the Extend
key. Press Esc to deactivate it.

If this helps, please click the Yes button

Cheers,
