Hello. I have a dual monitor and I do a good deal of side by side
comparisons. In older versions of Office, one could open up multiple applications so that you could see an old and new version of a particular document. I can still do this with Word and Publisher. I can drag one to the left and one to the right and open them up full size. I cannot do this in PowerPoint and Excel. It will not let me open up two windows. What I have to do instead is open two documents and then shrink them down so they can fit in side by side on one monitor. Normally I have to minimize a screen before I can slide it over to the second monitor - it does not work with Excel 2007. This is a definite drawback - and totally negates the benefits of having a dual monitor. Is there any way to open up two application of the same program - which is what I do with Publisher. (Word only opens once, but allows me to view full sheets in two monitors). |

Clarification. I do not want to view one worksheet over two monitors. I want
to opena workshet2007 and then open worksheett2008 and have each one occupy a monitor. When I open up any second file, it opens atop the first one. I can adjust the sizes to fit side by side in one screen. When I try and drag the second one across it just disappears. "Michele" wrote: Hello. I have the same setup and the only way I can do this is to :
1. Change the Excel application to "Restore" view instead of "Maximise" view. 2. Change the Workbook(s) to "Restore" view instead of "Maximise" view. 3. Stretch the Excel application to "cross" the two monitors (Sizing as desired). Move workbooks to the appropriate Monitor and work away! -- |

Okay, I have seen where you mention this in other posts. I must be having a
"thick as a brick' moment because I don't know where to find that option. I have the dash (minimize), the two little boxes (maximize) and the X (close). I don't see a button inbetween the dash and the maximize. How do I change the view? "Chris Premo" wrote: I have the same setup and the only way I can do this is to : 1.
