Default Pivot Table Charts

Hi,

Is it possible to add a trend line to a pivot table chart, I have tried to
use the chart menu, add trend line option but it is greyed over, is there a
way around this?

Default Pivot Table Charts

Hi,

In 2007 yes, in 2003 no.

Work Arounds:

You can create formula connections to your entire pivot table and then plot
that area as a regular chart to which you can add a trendline.

You might be able to calculate the trendline in the spreadsheet using
LINEST, SLOPE and INTERCEPT, incorporate those calculations into the data
source and then include that a a pivot table field. But this option is very
iffy.

If this helps, please click the Yes button

Cheers,
