How many characters does an Excel cell hold?
Hi,
This depends on what you mean by characters and what version. Excel 2003 and earlier: 32,767 characters. Only 1,024 display in a cell; all 32,767 display in the formula bar. Formulas 1024 Excel 2007: 32,767 characters, all can be displayed in a cell. Formulas 8192 If this helps, please click the Yes button. Cheers, Shane Devenshire |
