Default Cell format problem

I am doing pivot table reports in Excel 2002, and the there are several
numbers that are not sorting in numerical order. Instead they appear at the
top of the list. I have tried changing the format or the cell, and also
clearing the contents. I have made the format in all cells the same, but it
still won't sort correctly. The pivot tables don't give me the info I need
unless they are in numerical order. Any suggestions?

Thanks...Craey

Default Cell format problem

Can you change the sort order to "ascending"?

Its found under format field (not cell)

No, somehow it still sorts about 5 numbers before all the others. It's
thinking these numbers are different somehow from the others. I've tried
deleting and clearing and re-entering the numbers, but it still always sorts
with 5 on top of the list.

Thanks...Carey
