Name G3 as Alpha and enter the formula =G3*2 in G4
Select G4 (or the range of cells to be altered) Open the Formula tab on Ribbon; go to Defined Names group; click the launcher (small arrow) on Defined Names too; select Apply If you type = then click on G3 then type *12 the formula will automatically be =Alpha*2 best wishes -- Bernard V Liengme Microsoft Excel MVP http://people.stfx.ca/bliengme remove caps from email "hmm" wrote in message ... I remember that Excel versions before 2007 had a feature to automatically replace cell references in formulas with names. I have not been able to find this feature in Excel 2007. Does it still exist, or if not is there another way to do it? |
