Default Replace cell references with names

This is a great place to find XL2007 command when you know the Xl2003
commands
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ex...491511033.aspx
Try the Guide with Insert | Names | Apply

Thanks Bernard.

A search in help of "apply names" did not yield the relevant result in the
top 25 results. Another example of deficiencies in Help 2007. Are you
listening, Microsoft?

Name G3 as Alpha and enter the formula =G3*2 in G4
Select G4 (or the range of cells to be altered)
Open the Formula tab on Ribbon; go to Defined Names group; click the
launcher (small arrow) on Defined Names too; select Apply

If you type = then click on G3 then type *12 the formula will
automatically
be =Alpha*2

best wishes

I remember that Excel versions before 2007 had a feature to
automatically
replace cell references in formulas with names. I have not been able
to
find
this feature in Excel 2007. Does it still exist, or if not is there
another
way to do it?
