Default Data analysis Add-in unavailable in English in Excel 2007?

I have Excel 2007 (Office 2007 Home & Student Edition), English version.

I have tried to install the Data Analysis Add-In (via Office Button - Excel
Options - Add-Ins - Manage Excel Add-Ins) but the Add-Ins I can choose from
are in Turkish or some strange language. I cannot find the Add-In by browsing
for it either.

I bought the product via Microsoft Online download, so I do not have the
install CD, but I have License lock, so should be able to download the
product again from the website if necessary. (But for some reason the web
site does not recognize that I have any old purchases, even though I am using
the same e-mail and the link supplied.)

I have the Office 2007 Service Pack SP1 successfully installed.

As far as I remember, I used the complete install, and the Add-In does seem
to be installed, but in the wrong language. Does anyone know if the download
version of Office 2007 is mistakenly only supplied with this Add-In in
Turkish?

I did read a question from a user on the Microsoft support website with the
exact same problem, but nobody had replied to it.

Hi,

Regarding the language issue, I have no help. However, a few things to keep
in mind
1. All of the spreadsheet functions which were in the Analysis ToolPak in
prior versions are now part of Excel, so for that it doesn't need to be
attached.
2. The Data Analysis command now appears on the Data tab, in the Analysis
group.

Thanks for your reply. I need perform some statistical analysis; make
histograms, regression analysis etc, and the Excel help function states that
I need to make sure the Data Analysis Toolpak is installed and activated to
do that. I do not have an Analysis group on my Data tab, only Get external
data, Connections, Sort & Filter, Data Tools (Text to columns, Remove
duplicates, Data validation, Consolidate and What-if analysis), Outline and
that's it.

I tried to install and activate the Turkish version of the Toolpak, and that
gives me a new group to the right of Outline, but of course in Turkish.

I have all the four files that are needed for the toolpak (.XLAM and .XLL)
in the Library/Analysis folder, but when I click on them I get the Turkish
version, so it seems I don't have the English version at all. Why everything
else was installed in English I can't understand.

Hi,

Well the thing you see to the right of the outline is the analysis toolpak,
I would at least try and click it to see if it opens the Data Analysis tools
in English or "Turkish".

I doubt this will work but choose Home, open the Format Cells dialog box and
choose Special. On the right open the Locale drop down and choose English
(United States).
