Hi,
I think this is what you want: 1 Select cell C1 and choose Format, Conditional Formatting, 2. From the first drop down choose Formula is 3. Enter the following formula in the next spot =AND(B1<"",C1="") 4. Click the Format button and pick Yellow on the Patterns tab, click OK twice.
