Default worksheet doesn't fill entire space

I am using Excel 2007 and I'm experiencing a problem that I've never seen
before. I have created a basic worksheet - nothing very fancy - and it is not
filling the entire space. All of my other Excel documents fill the entire
space to the edge of the screen, but this document has about a half inch of
blank space on either side. I would expect that it would have a full screen
option in it's top right corner - However, that is missing as well. I have
been searching the help, but I have been unable to find anything.

Has anyone experienced this issue, or have any ideas?

Thanks

Hi
Try double clicking the top bar of the window within your screen space

The maximize button is missing?

Are the other buttons also missing.........the "x" and resize buttons?

If so, the workbook could be protected.
