We have migrated a few of our computers to office 2007 and so downloaded the
compatibility pack to allow users on office 2003 to open the files. It seems to work fine when you instal the file as an admin and can open both word and excel 2007 files. When I log in as a user Word 2007 files open fine and the converter appears to run but when I try to open Excel 2007 files I get the 'Not enough memory' error that I was getting before the converter was installed. It then says that the converter failed to open the file. It seems that the excel converter doesnt want to run as anyone but the domain admin. So far I have tried giving the user local and domain admin rights, installing the converter as the user and logged on as the user but using the admin information to install but still have had no luck. This is proving to be a real pain because we have people wanting to work on files that people on the newer computers have created but are having to convert the files so that this can happen. I also tried to save a file as an Excel 2007 document from one of the PC's and got the same error. Thanks in advance. |
