Default Excel cannot open Access MDB

Hello

I did what you suggested and there were no access database in the startup
directory. Any other ideas.

My guess is that you have an access database in your excel startup
directory (or your alternate startup directory). Every time excel
opens, it will open all files in these directories.

The startup directory (on Win2K) is: C:\Documents and Settings\{your
userid}\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART
The alternate startup is only used if you specified it under Tools |
Options (General Tab), At startup open all files in:

Move the database out of the directory and all should be ok.
