Default change color of text when figure becomes minus

When a figure becomes a minus in Excel can it be set to auto change color?
for example, if an account goes into "the red" how can I format the cell to
change automatically. (or indeed if the figure reaches a set amount or
target can Excel flag it up in another color?) Thank you.
