Default change color of text when figure becomes minus

If you just wanted to show negative numbers in a different colour you
can use normal formatting for this - just choose the appropriate
option from Format | Cells | Number tab | Currency - the second or 4th
option uses red for negative amounts.

If you want to change the colour if the value exceeds some amount, eg
£100, then you would use Format | Conditional Formatting for this and
set up the conditions in the dialogue box.

Hope this helps.

When a figure becomes a minus in Excel can it be set to auto change color?
for example, if an account goes into "the red" how can I format the cell to
change automatically. *(or indeed if the figure reaches a set amount or
target can Excel flag it up in another color?) Thank you.
