I would really appreciate some help with this!!!!!!!!!
Is there a way to program or trick excel into viewing a letter as being bigger than another letter when combined with a number? For example, I want to start with the lowest value of 1c followed by 1b, 1a and then going up to 2c, 2b and 2a. It's hard to explain. The problem is that I have to use numbers in an ascending order whilst the letters go in a descending order. Oh, and the number and letter need to be in the same cell! If you know if this is possible I will be eternally grateful!!!!!!!!! |

One way to 'trick' Excel to have two extra (hidden if required) cols where
you can separate the nubmers and characters and sort on those cols. "sgg" wrote: I would really appreciate some help with this!!!!!!!!!
