Hi all
So i have several spreadsheets in each one there are a number of worksheets between 10-15 or so. I have a master spread sheet to colelct all data required. However I am stuck on a reporting issue. The brief is that I have spreadsheets that record a clients hours per day this collected into a worksheet which shows a week and an overal spreadsheet which is the quarter. What i want to do is basicall record in my master spreadsheet, if a person exceeeds 60 hours per week, I want a report to flash this up. Any clues? I am somewhat new to excel so please be specific and detailed. Thank you!! |

I'm not exactly sure you mean by "flash up" but what you could do is use
conditional formatting to change the background color of a cell if the value is 60 or above. Select the cell or cells you want highlighted if 60 or aboave and click FORMAT in the menu and select CONDITIONAL FORMATTING. In the dialog box, for CONDITION 1 verify that the first field says CELL VALUE IS and if not set to that value. In the second field select the GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO as the logical operator and in the third field enter 60. Then click the FORMAT command button, click the PATTERNS tab and select the color du jour. If you want the font to change as well, click the FONT tab and make whatever changes you deem necessary. Click OK 2 times to return to the workbook and give it a try to see if it's working. -- Kevin Backmann "Gareth" wrote: Hi all So i have several spreadsheets in each one there are a number of worksheets between 10-15 or so.
