Default pivot table vicious cycle

Hello When ever I refresh my pivot table the columns that have % become
numbers example I have a 8% when I refresh the table it becomes 0.08 .
so I reformat the columns. Is there a way that the % stays a percent?
thanks

when you reformat , are you doing the format within the Pivot table? Right
click on one of the % number, format , and it should bring up a box that says
"PivotTable Field" Then click number and format as %. It should retain that
even after refresh.

Thank you Don
I have excel 2002
When I right click on the pivot table I do not have a box that reads "Pivot
table Field"
If I right click (within the pivot table) I do have the option "format
cells".
I formatted the cells as percentage
Now when I refresh the pivot table some of the numbers are correct example
they read 10% while other go show 0.1
thanks in advance
