Excel database query referencing data in the same workbook
Folks,
Excel always asks me for a filename when I want to use Excel as the database source, in particular a different worksheet in the same workbook I'm editing. If I specify a fully qualified UNC name, which is an absolute path and filename, and I move the file, what will happen? Can't just tell Excel that the database source is the same workbook? How would I make a reference to the same workbook, with something similar to a relative pathname and filename? Regards kpiq |

BTW, I know the basics of SQL so don't be afraid to use SQL to demonstrate
your point. kpiq "kpiq" wrote: Folks, Excel always asks me for a filename when I want to use Excel as the database source, in particular a different worksheet in the same workbook I'm editing.
