Default Overwriting data in other worksheets while updating another

I am trying to edit text in one worksheet, but when I do, the edit is applied
is applied to all but one other worksheet in the workbook. I have made sure
only one worksheet is selected while making the edits. How can I prevent
this from occurring?

Do your other worksheets have formulae that point to the worksheet you
are editing?
