Default 'blocked by registry policy settings'

Help! I have lots of old Lotus wk4 files which I USED to be able to access
through Excel. Today, however, I'm blocked by the REGISTRY POLICY SETTINGS.
What are those? How do I get past them to open my old Lotus files?
Thanks.
Jeff

Sounds like some Vista crap, do you have Vista and have you done a recent
upgrade from the internet. If so it might be better to find a Vista
forum/newsgroup.

Thanks for responding. No, I don't have Vista.
This PC uses Windows XP and I've had it since Dec. '06.
Not sure if I've tried to open those old Lotus WK4 files since getting this
PC, but I used to have no problems opening them as I needed them (and then
saving them as Excel files). Any other ideas?
Jeff

Thanks, Jim. I had searched the "help" section of Excel before I logged on
to the discussion group. Don't know how I missed this. I appreciate your
help.
