Default Reversing freeze panes

Is there a way to use freeze panes to freeze the section to the RIGHT of the
selected cell instead of the area to the to the LEFT?

No.

Why would you want that done?

If you just want to limit the right-scrolling view, just hide the columns to
the right of your data.

I want most of the sheet to be able to scrollwhile headings stay in view. I
also have an area of cells that I don't want to be scrolled on the right hand
side of the sheet

What you want is a left-side freeze and right-side freeze.

No can do as far as I know.

You might be able to do something with a couple of vertical windows.
