Default Pivot table

When i generate a pivot table the months order changes , Example below does
anyone know how to amend this

Month Total
Apr-08 0
Aug-07 0
Aug-08 0
Dec-07 0
Feb-08 0
Jan-08 1
Jul-08 0
Jun-08 0
Mar-08 0
May-08 0
Nov-07 0
Oct-07 0
Sep-07 0

Default Pivot table

It looks like your 'dates' are formatted as text. Try formatting the dates
in the original data list as mmm-yy (you'll probably have to press F2
followed by Enter on each date cell to make them convert properly from text
format).

just tried that ,,,,, and its still generate the same list

Default Pivot table

Hi Milly

You are doing an ascending sort on Month.
You need to Create a Custom list of dates for it to use
ToolsOptionsCustom Listscreate a list
Aug 07
Sep 07
Oct 07
..
..
Jul 09

Go back to your PTDouble click on Month fieldAdvancedSortOKOK
