Default Strange Excel behavior please Help

In my office there is a Laptop with Office 2003, Windows XP and OutLook, When
the user opens Outlook, then open Excel, open an old file in Excel, make some
changes on the file (like adding formulas, formatting cells, or so). Then
wait a little bit (maybe 10 to 80 seconds) and then it restart UNDOING the
changes he just recently made, in correct order first UNDO the last change,
then undo the previos to last change, and so on..
This strange behavior start just the past week.
It seems to be a virus, but I don't find anything with the Norton Antivirus
Scan.

Did anybody know something about this problem,

In MS Word it seems to make the same strange behavior undoing the last
changes
I have tryed the following steps
a) Doing a "repair" opration to Office
b) Turn off the "Use Microsoft Word to edit email messages" option in Outlook

Thanks in advance for your help.
