Default consecutive numbering on multiple worksheets

In Sheet1 A1 enter:
1
In Sheet2 A1 enter:
=Sheet1!A1+1

and continue with the remaining sheets.

Default consecutive numbering on multiple worksheets

try a user defined function

Function sht()
sht = ActiveSheet.Index
End Function

you can add a value if you want to start with something other than 1 at
sheet 1
