EXCEL 2003 AUTOFILTER PROBLEM

Hi i get the arrow button showing in the relevant cells, but it does not show
anything when i click mouse on it, any ideas why ???
Also on occasions when it does allow me to select from the dropdown it wont
let me show all again after.
