I want to type (c) without the copyright symbol coming up. How can I do this?

You could use the following formula if you wish:

=CHAR(169)

Hi,

Tools|Auto correct options

Type (c) on the left

Delete the auto correction

Note this affects all Office applications

A third way if you can stand an extra space
if this is the only entry in that cell

type (c) press space and ctrl + z after it has changed to the copyright
symbol, then enter or keep typing

Peo,

Brilliant! What a neat trick. What's actually happening with the ctrl + z
procedure?

Peo,

Don't worry explaining....just figured it out. It seems to undo the last
action, which must be the Auto correct function in this instance.

Delete it from your ToolsAutocorrect list.
