Inevitably when you are working in Excel, Excel will think cells are filled
when in fact you have deleted the contents. If I do a End/Home, the cursor is on IA523. How do I save the file without including the rows and columns that are now blank? This became a problem when a macro opens the file and tries to move columns left and an error message came up that Excel could not move columns off the spreadsheet. |

Excel always has all those rows and columns. You can't delete them.
But if ctrl-end takes you way past what you think should be the last used cell, take a look at Debra Dalgleish's site: http://www.contextures.com/xlfaqApp.html#Unused iashorty wrote: Inevitably when you are working in Excel, Excel will think cells are filled when in fact you have deleted the contents.
